Saint Paul School of Professional Studies (SPSPS) marked the start of its 27th Founding Anniversary celebration today with the Paulininan community joining a motorcade that passed through the main roads of Palo and Tacloban City.
“The motorcade was a successful activity. It went well as planned,” said Professor Eleanor R. Chuca, the overall chairperson of the foundation anniversary celebrations.
The motorcade was participated in by SPSPS administrators, faculty and staff members, and student leaders.
The theme for this year’s founding anniversary is: “Set a Mark. Take a Step. Be a Trailblazer.”
‘Take a break, join for fun’
Professor Chuca encourages the students to participate in the virtual activities lined up for the founding anniversary.
“To have a mental break from this new normal, students need to participate in the fun and exciting virtual activities,” Professor Chuca said. “SPSPS always aims for the holistic development of students where they can interact with each other and learn new skills while having fun.”
The month-long celebration is composed of different activities related to Academics, Sociocultural, and Sports.
Event committees are preparing these online activities for students to experience “fun-filled” celebrations amidst the pandemic.
The virtual events include the Search for Mr. and Miss Saint Paul 2021, E-sports, Quaransing, Quarandance, Family Dance Craze, State of the School Address, and Years of Service Awarding Ceremonies.
Activities slated on this year’s celebration intend to fulfill the institutions’ commitment to giving students a meaningful educational experience no matter the distance.
The official opening of this year’s intramurals will be on August 9. SPSPS’ official Facebook page will broadcast the said event.
