The festive spirit of #PaskongPaulinian2024 has officially arrived at Saint Paul School of Professional Studies (SPSPS) with the much-anticipated Christmas Lighting Program held on November 20. The event illuminated the schoolโs building and its beautifully adorned Christmas tree.
In his opening remarks, School President Dr. Erwin Vincent G. Alcala, CPA, reminded the Paulinian community that as we celebrate this holiday season, we must not forget our brothers and sisters who have been affected by the recent typhoons that struck the country.
“Isipin natin sila na sa bawat saya na mararanasan natin dito ay mayroong patak ng luha na nandoon sa kabilang panig ng bansa,” said Pres. Alcala.
(Let us remember that for every joy we experience here, there are tears being shed on the other side of the country.)
“Ang tunay na hiwaga ng Pasko ay nagmumula sa loob ng ating mga puso. Ang bawat ningning ng ilaw na makikita natin mamaya ay patunay ng pagmamahal, pananampalataya, at malasakit na taglay ng bawat Paulinian,” added Pres. Alcala.
(The true magic of Christmas comes from within our hearts. Each sparkle of light we will see later is a testament to the love, faith, and care that every Paulinian carries.)
With the theme “Sa Bawat Puso ng Paulinian Nagniningning ang Diwa ng Pasko,” the program included performances by Francheska Luise Empino, Semi-Finalist in Tawag ng Tanghalan: The School Showdown, the Saint Paul Chorale, and the Saint Paul Dance Academy.
The event also featured the annual raffle draws and BINGO games, where prizes were given to faculty, staff, and students. These prizes were made possible through the sponsorship of the SPSPS Board of Trustees.
