(FFCCCII) today, March 3.
“May I happily turnover this very significant project, the Manuel Ngo Student Center, a multi-purpose building composed of three storeys… Thank you to Saint Paul School of Professional Studies for giving me the opportunity to contribute to the mission of providing quality education,” said Mr. Johny Chu Go during his speech at the turnover ceremony.

As the institution celebrates its 30th year and anticipates an increasing student population, the buildingโnamed after Manuel Ngo in honor of Johny Go’s fatherโwill play a vital role in expanding SPSPSโs facilities.
Designed to cater to both students and employees, the building will provide a dedicated space for various student services and activities.
The first floor, named the Johny Chu Go Hall, will be designated for student activities and leadership development, serving as a venue for student organizations’ meetings, and initiatives. The second floor will house the Student Services Hall, offering guidance and support services, including academic advising, counseling, and student-related concerns. The third floor will be the Pearl of Great Price Chapel, an adoration chapel for prayer and spiritual renewal.
In his acceptance speech, SPSPS President Dr. Erwin Vincent G. Alcala, CPA, expressed deep appreciation for the newly constructed building and the opportunities it provides.
“My heart overflows with profound appreciation. This building is more than just bricks and mortarโit is a symbol of perseverance and the boundless generosity of the human spirit,” said President Alcala.
“Through your generosity and kindness, you have given not just a building but a beacon of hope to generations of Paulinians and other Eastern Visayan youth who will walk through its halls,” he added.
Moreover, Pres. Alcala took a moment to reflect on the institutionโs journey, highlighting the resilience that has carried it through some of the most challenging times in recent history.
Pres. Alcala recounted the trials that tested but ultimately strengthened SPSPSโincluding the devastation of Super Typhoon Yolanda, the shift to the Kโ12 curriculum, the implementation of free tuition in SUCs, and the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Through it all, God has been faithful. Today, as we stand before this beautiful gift, we are reminded that His blessings come through the hands of generous hearts.”
The event was graced by members of the Rotary Club of San Juanico Tacloban, the Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry, Inc. (FFCCCII), the SPSPS Board of Trustees, school officials, and students.
