FINANCIAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT
The Financial Affairs Department (FAD), under the leadership of the Senior Executive Vice -President for Finance and Campus Service, is dedicated to supporting the teaching and research missions of Saint Paul School of Professional Studies by providing outstanding financial services to the SPSPS community; by providing support, guidance and consultation; by working to ensure compliance with institutional and government guidelines; by mitigating risk; and by promoting the financial health of the institution.

Mission
To provide high-quality financial services to the Saint Paul School of Professional Studies community by maintaining accurate and timely financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing sound financial advice and support
Goals and Objectives
Goal 1: Maintain accurate and timely financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Objective 1: Develop and implement procedures to ensure that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and timely in accordance with accounting standards and regulations.
- Objective 2: Conduct regular audits of financial records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Goal 2: Manage payroll, accounts payable, and receivable, ensuring timely transactions and proper documentation.
- Objective 1: Develop and implement procedures to ensure that payroll, accounts payable, and receivable transactions are processed accurately and timely.
- Objective 2: Maintain all required documentation for payroll, accounts payable, and receivable transactions.
Goal 3: Provide accurate and timely financial reports to the school’s administration, faculty, and board of directors.
- Objective 1: Develop and implement procedures to ensure that financial reports are generated accurately and timely.
- Objective 2: Meet with the school’s administration, faculty, and board of directors to discuss financial reports and answer any questions.
Goal 4: Develop and maintain a sound budget and financial forecasting process.
- Objective 1: Develop and implement a budget process that aligns with the school’s strategic plan.
- Objective 2: Develop and maintain financial forecasting models to predict the school’s financial performance.
Goal 5: Provide financial analysis and support to the school’s administration and faculty in making informed decisions.

FAD is responsible for oversight of the school’s finances, including corporate financial planning, budgeting and cost control, accounting operations, money management and all other financial administration.
The Financial Affairs Department provides a complete host of services provided through its two sections namely, Accounting and Financial Services and Treasury Services.
