Saint Paul School of Professional Studies (SPSPS) undergoes a one-day monitoring and evaluation by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Regional Office VIII, as an assessment team reviews the implementation of its academic programs and the delivery of Student Affairs and Services (SAS).
The assessment team is composed of CHED Education Supervisors, Technical Division and Regional Quality Assessment Team (RQAT) members, including Jane A. Latorre, Cydric B. Suyom, Narciso C. Candiza, Jan Paolo K. Vega, Kim Operario, Amed Cabugoy, and Emily Jill Nival.
The visit focuses on verifying SPSPS’s compliance with CHED policies, standards, and guidelines and examining how its programs and services are implemented in practice.
As part of the evaluation, the team examines key components of SPSPS’s academic program delivery, including curriculum implementation, faculty qualifications and credentials, learning resources and facilities, instructional practices, and student outcomes.
The assessment looks into how academic programs translate approved curricula and institutional policies into actual teaching and learning experiences. The team also reviews supporting documents and other evidence related to program implementation and quality assurance.
The monitoring also covers SAS, which supports students beyond classroom instruction. The assessment examines the institution’s systems, programs, and services designed to address students’ academic, personal, social, and developmental needs. It also considers how these services are implemented, documented, monitored, and made accessible to students.
Beyond compliance, the monitoring allows the team to identify areas for strengthening SPSPS’s academic programs and student support mechanisms, ensuring their alignment with current educational and professional standards and CHED requirements.
The visit also supports SPSPS’s continuing efforts to strengthen program implementation, improve student services, and sustain quality assurance across its academic and institutional operations.
