SPSPS, CGSOG-EV bring maritime awareness to Grade 12 learners

Saint Paul School of Professional Studies (SPSPS), in partnership with the Coast Guard Special Operations Group-Eastern Visayas (CGSOG-EV), conducts a two-hour lecture and practical demonstration for Senior High School (SHS) Grade 12 students on September 18, 2026, at the Mary Ngo Auditorium.

Held in observance of Maritime and Archipelagic Nation Awareness Month (MANA MO), pursuant to Presidential Proclamation No. 316, s. 2017, the activity promotes maritime consciousness and community safety.

The session covers Philippine maritime zones and their national significance; water safety protocols in swimming pools, rivers, beaches, and open waters; and drowning prevention and basic life-saving concepts to help mitigate water-related accidents.

SPSPS continues to provide learning experiences that extend beyond the classroom, equipping students with essential maritime knowledge and practical water safety skills while fostering greater awareness, preparedness, and responsibility in aquatic environments.
